Today we’re sharing the love story of Ashley & Reis. A pair whose journey from college classmates to soon-to-be newlyweds is the definition of timeless, elegant, and unforgettable. There’s something undeniably magical about watching a love story unfold in real time. Eyes That Started Everything

Ashley and Reis first crossed paths during their junior year at Indiana University. Ashley was the TA; Reis was the student. Covid protocols were still in place at the time, but even masks couldn’t hide the spark between them.

Ashley remembers it vividly: “The second our eyes met, I could feel myself blushing like crazy!”

Their real connection, though, happened at a sorority–fraternity party a short time later. What should have been a quick hello turned into an entire night spent side by side; dancing, laughing, and walking home while talking for hours.

Looking back, Ashley says it perfectly: “It makes sense – that night set the tone for our relationship. We haven’t left each other’s sides since.”

Wedding Vision: timeless, elegant, unforgettable

When asked to describe their wedding aesthetic, Ashley didn’t hesitate:
“Timeless. Elegant. Unforgettable.“

Three words that fit them beautifully.

And planning is well underway. The venue (of course!), photo, video, catering, hair, and DJ are already locked in. They’re meeting florists next week and only have makeup left to book—proof that their vision is taking shape with intention and excitement.

We asked Ashely, what has been your favorite step/part of wedding planning so far?

“Our favorite part has to be the incredible parties that Westwood has hosted. We love an excuse to dress up and being able to watch the first step to our forever be built these past couple of months has been unforgettable. We can’t thank the Westwood team enough for these memories.”

From the Groom: date nights, dream design, and “I Love You”

What Date Night Looks Like:

For Ashley and Reis, date night isn’t just one thing, it’s everything.

Trying new restaurants. Searching for the perfect cocktail. Surprise Target gift runs. And, of course, their famously competitive game nights.

Reis says it best: “No matter what, anytime being with each other can turn into a date night.”

The Westwood Feature He Can’t Wait to See:

Without hesitation, Reis chose the Sunset Cocktail Courtyard Bar.

Cocktail hour has always been one of his favorite parts of any wedding, so creating an unforgettable space for it was at the top of their wish list. Seeing the tile, the layout, and the vision come together has exceeded his expectations:
“I think it’s going to be more beautiful and cool than I even imagined.”

Who Said “I Love You” First?

That moment belonged to Ashley.

Reis recalls knowing almost immediately she was the one, but hearing her say it still stopped time:
“It was one of the best feelings I’ll ever have… I repeated it right back immediately.”

Since then, those words have only grown deeper and more meaningful.

Counting Down to Forever

Ashley and Reis’s story is sweet, playful, heartfelt, and full of the same magic we hope every couple feels when they begin their forever at Westwood.

As we inch closer to their wedding day on May 30th, 2026, we’re truly so excited and honored to celebrate them!
