Photographers see things differently — light, angles, emotion, and all the little in-between moments.
We asked Westwood preferred photographers their thoughts on what makes Westwood such a standout place to shoot. Their feedback? Honest, glowing, and full of the kind of details that matter when choosing your wedding venue. From the architecture to the natural light to the thoughtful design throughout, here’s why they can’t wait to shoot at Westwood (and why you’ll love the way your wedding looks in photos).

Fresh Focus at The Sixpence | Captured by The Lang Co.
Westwood asked:
What was your first impression of the venue when announced?
“When they dropped the curtains and I saw the first visuals for Westwood, I quite literally screamed (and have the video to prove it). Conservatory style & European-esque are my personal two favorite venue aesthetics, and it’s always frustrated me that when a couple comes to be with that vibe in mind, but with a large guest or accessibility concerns, I didn’t have a good recommendation for them. Of COURSE it’s The Sixpence team who solved that problem.” – The Lang Co.
Westwood asked:
Are there any features or design elements you always try to include in your shots?
“I love using architecture to aid in our storytelling of a day for photos such as establishing shots with the whole venue in the distance, or using the texture of a simple wall to help showcase the emotional warmth present in the room. That’s probably what excites me most about Westwood – the truly limitless options for using the character of the Vowery to help tell the story of our clients in a way that is not only authentic to them, but STUNNING as well.” – The Lang Co.

Unveiled at The Sixpence | Captured by the talented Adam & Becca Photography
Westwood asked:
Do you have a favorite spot at Westwood?
“We’re already dreaming about capturing our couples on the second-floor terrace and library suites. It’s such a unique, elevated (literally!) space, perfect for intimate moments, bridal portraits, or even those joyful, candid getting-ready memories with friends and family. I love how the team behind The Sixpence and Westwood think of everything! At so many venues, the getting ready spaces can be an afterthought but have such a big impact on the day. With that being said, we’re ecstatic about the whole space – how could you not be?!” – Adam & Becca
Westwood asked:
How does the flow of the space work for capturing key wedding moments?
“The layout is seamless for storytelling. The way each area transitions into the next, from getting ready to ceremony to reception, means we can document the day with a natural, cinematic progression. There’s no scrambling or awkward transitions, just a beautiful, intuitive flow that helps the whole day feel effortless.” – Adam & Becca

Foundations brand shoot | Captured by Honey Lens Imaging
Westwood asked:
Any tips you’d give to couples getting married at this venue?
“Give yourself extra time for photos! There’s so much to explore here, and staying in just one spot wouldn’t do it justice. Walk around, take it all in – the whole property is a dream for pictures!” – Honey Lens Imaging
Westwood asked:
What makes this venue stand out from others you’ve photographed?
“Definitely the little details. The vines, the rooftop, the courtyard – they all give it so much character. You can tell everything was really thought through, and it makes such a difference when you’re photographing a wedding.” – Honey Lens Imaging
