These two lovers met six years ago through mutual friends (shoutout to Cole & Kate for changing everything). As fairytale romances often go, what started as a simple introduction quickly turned into a deep connection. One marked by humor, warmth, and a series of unforgettable milestones that feel uniquely them.
As Lauren and Ben prepare to celebrate their vows at Westwood, we asked them to share a glimpse into their journey, their style, and the moments they’re most excited to see come to life.
When it comes to wedding day dreams, Lauren and Ben share a clear vision: timeless, classic, and intimate. Lauren is especially excited to see the courtyard come to life and experience the indoor bar for the first time, both of which she’s already calling “an absolute dream.”
Westwood asked Lauren: What are you most excited to see come to life at Westwood?
”Absolutely everything. But I am especially excited to see the courtyard come to life and the indoor bar. Both are going to be a dream!”
The proposal
Westwood asked Ben: How did you propose?
“I planned a proposal during a trip to Thailand on a beautiful beach with dinner, flowers, and a tent. The proposal itself went perfectly. Later that evening, I got sick and ended up needing medical attention, but Lauren handled everything with grace, humor, and positivity — which made the moment even more meaningful.”
Between the beach, the flowers, and an unforgettable ending, this proposal is one they’ll be laughing about for years and one that made it clear these two are ready for anything together.
Westwood asked Ben: Who said I love you first?
”There was a little confusion early on. I mumbled something that Lauren thought was “I love you,” and because she’s such a loving person, she said it back. It turned into a funny and memorable moment for us.”
Westwood asked the couple: What does a date night look like for the two of you?
“Our go-to activity tends to be dinner and drinks followed by a comedy show or a movie. If movie, our date night quickly turns into a nap……which then leads to a full night sleep.”
If you ask us, these two are destined for a lifetime of love – filled with the rhythm of understanding, big laughs, and the confidence that comes from being with your person.
